Product of the month – April 2014 – Rimmel Stay Blushed!

Rimmel has called Stay Blushed ‘its first liquid cheek colour’.  It isn’t really a liquid at all – at least not a runny liquid like Benefit’s Benetint – instead it has a lovely mousse-like consistency.  Inaccurate description aside, Stay Blushed is so easy apply;  [Read more...]

Budget buys: Aveeno bodycare

I’m really, really fussy about bodycare. There, I’ve said it. But why? Product of the month – February 2014 – Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat

It’s around this time of the year when most of our complexions can look really quite sallow, not to mention that our skin is suffering from the effects of cold temperatures outside and heating inside. So it’s now more than ever that I rarely apply my make-up without using my Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat highlighter (£25). Often misconstrued as a concealer, its best quality is to bring light and life to the face in a subtle, natural way. [Read more...]

A core wardrobe: work to play part one

This week I’ve asked Laura from my favourite style blog, My Pollyanna (which has recently had a fabulous makeover by the way and I thoroughly recommend some browsing time on it soon…) to talk us through how to make sure you have staple pieces in your wardrobe that take you from desk to downtime. And they’ll be a part two to this post coming soon, where I’ll take you through the make-up items needed to create a capsule make-up wardrobe suitable for any occasion. Over to Laura…. [Read more...]
